MSME stands for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. In India, MSME registration is a government registration process for small and medium-sized businesses that meet certain criteria regarding their annual turnover and investment.
The registration process can be done online through the Udyam Registration portal, which is operated by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. The following are the eligibility criteria for MSME registration:

Micro Enterprises: Those businesses whose annual turnover is less than or equal to Rs. 5 crore and investment in plant and machinery or equipment is less than or equal to Rs. 1 crore.

Small Enterprises: Those businesses whose annual turnover is more than Rs. 5 crore but less than or equal to Rs. 75 crore and investment in plant and machinery or equipment is more than Rs. 1 crore but less than or equal to Rs. 10 crore.

Medium Enterprises: Those businesses whose annual turnover is more than Rs. 75 crore but less than or equal to Rs. 250 crore and investment in plant and machinery or equipment is more than Rs. 10 crore but less than or equal to Rs. 50 crore.
To register for MSME, you will need to provide your Aadhaar number, PAN number, and details about your business, such as its name, type, address, and bank account details. Once you submit the registration form, you will receive a certificate of registration, which is valid for a lifetime.
